THE POOL
Whilst holidaying at Vila Margarida the pool area is where you are likely to spend a very large part of your time

Many of our guests tell us that they had so many plans for their stay, but ultimately they just couldn't tear themselves away from the pool area
​
The pool is large at 8m x 5m with Roman steps at one end.
The shallow end is around waist height on an adult and it slopes steeply down so that it is beyond standing depth by half way along
​
Pool heating is available at an additional charge if wanted. There is a pool cover to use at night or in cooler months when the pool is heated and not in use to help retain pool heat
​
The pool surround is large with ample space for everybody and there are plenty of sun beds with mattresses supplied
​
At one end there is a covered cabana with a large tiled table and bench seating, a bar, barbecue, gas hob, fridge and sink with hot and cold water. This shady spot is lovely and cool in the summer and makes an ideal place for poolside lunches, drinks or evening barbecues. It is also a great spot for those who struggle with too much heat to sit in the cool whilst still being part of the poolside fun

In addition to the cabana there is shade provided in other areas around the pool under the overhang of the first floor terrace, so you can choose full sun or shade or alternate easily between the two
TERRACE
You will also find yourself drawn to the first floor terrace accessed off the lounge and dining room
This terrace has both covered and open areas, so again you can take your pick of full sun or enjoy a rest in the shade

From the terrace you can look out over the pool and gardens to the tennis court and to the sea and cliffs beyond
TENNIS COURT
Your own private hard surface tennis court is set below the villa within the garden

The court is surrounded by high fencing to keep the balls in court and is orientated North/South so that you don't have to serve directly into the sun when choosing to play at cooler times of day, either early morning or late afternoon
​
The court is kept in reasonable condition for recreational fun use. It is not to any club or competitive standard
​
GARDENS AND ORCHARD
The gardens at Vila Margarida are extensive and surround the villa itself
There is a long gated driveway with ample parking and gardens to either side
Below the pool and alongside the tennis court is a grassed area.
To the side of Vila Margarida and overlooked by the second master bedroom is an orchard area. This orchard has many fruit trees including orange, lemon, grapefruit, satsuma, loquat, fig and apple. Guests are welcome to help themselves to any fruit that is on the trees during their stay. Picking your own fruit for breakfast or lemons for your G&T is a real treat!
